Analysis...Paralysis by Kat Danio
Making a commitment to an endeavor has never come easy to me. My indecision with decision can be summed up in the phrase, “Analysis…Paralysis”. This was especially true when it came to committing to a Yoga Teacher Training program...Can I commit financially? Can I carve out time to participate in a program that fits into current work and family obligations? Will I be able to juggle personal and business relationships in my life and still give my full attention to the rigors of studying and learning (not to mention the fact of not being in an academic setting for decades)? Would becoming a teacher, rather than just a student, change my relationship with Yoga, which gives me so much enjoyment and peace?
After months of researching programs in my area (as well as personal angst and confusion) I decided to simply speak with a lead teacher of RYT-200 school at the top of my list. After having the conversation I realized I could have saved myself a lot of sleepless nights if I had made this my first step, not my last. It suddenly became clear, the only barrier standing in my way was ME. There would never be a “perfect” time, situation, scenario or such to do a Yoga Teacher Training program. So, I got out of my own way and I just did it! And, I am so happy I did.
When it came time for me to develop a Yoga Teacher Training program I revisited my previous apprehensions in order to address barriers for those considering making this same commitment. The RYT-200 program at Simply Yoga allows the individual to participate in the program and decide along the way whether to pursue a path of learning for the sake of learning or a path toward becoming a Yoga Teacher. Moreover, our affordable payment plan and flexible schedule makes the program accessible to everyone, whatever their background and responsibilities. Most importantly, our program’s mantra is “Reach Out, Don’t Freak Out”, which provides support allowing the trainee to reach their own potential. I encourage you too to get out of your own way…Give Simply Yoga a call today so we can talk. I want to hear more about your heartfelt desire to pursue Yoga Teacher Training.
